Job DescriptionOracle Cloud Data Center Sourcing is seeking a US-based Energy Program Manager, reporting to the Energy & Sustainability Director. As an energy program manager, you will have day-to-day responsibility for shaping and driving Oracle Cloud’s approach to streamlining and coordinating energy, gas and renewable energy procurement, as well as supporting broader team efforts around energy innovation and sustainability. As part of Oracle, we have a goal to reach 100% renewable energy, halve our global operational emissions by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. Sustainable and scalable energy procurement is growing in focus across our business and this role will provide critical expertise and execution across Oracle Cloud data centers.Career Level - IC4ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities

Responsible for working with the Energy Director to manage Oracle Cloud energy footprint across various contract structures – colocation supplier managed sites, triple net sites, and owned data centers.

Improve oversight of all-in power costs globally across North and South America, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.

Improve contract throughput via standardized templates, RFPs, and supplier management.

Inventory and track energy solutions according to levels of oversight, technology, contract structure.

Support expansion of utilities/IPP engagement workstream and monitoring and upleveling of opportunities.

Support Energy and Sustainability Managers in regular reporting cadences including greenhouse gas accounting, energy forecasting, supplier surveys.

Perform market analysis and research on energy opportunities including regulated and deregulated market analysis, policy/regulatory changes, data center land acquisition activities.

Engage with energy and sustainability consultant(s) as needed.

Cross-functionally develop and manage relationships across Oracle including with capacity planning, data center infrastructure build, site selection, supply chain management, data center engineering, data center operations, and corporate sustainability and procurement teams.

Onboard energy value chain suppliers including utilities, IPPs, advisors, gas marketers, renewable energy developers etc.

Support director in team tracking initiatives, preparing white papers and presentations for executives on strategy and progress.

Qualifications

Desire to work in the fast-paced environment of AI/GPU computing and hyperscale data center design, construction, and operations.

5-7+ years professional experience; 1-3+ years managing corporate (C&I) energy procurement, within a large matrix environment.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, STEM or business with technical expertise on energy and data center topics.

Understanding of regulated and deregulated energy markets, power/gas hedging, energy supply agreements and power purchase agreements.

Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and making carbon reduction and renewable energy claims: Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Science-based Targets, CDP, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, etc.

Experience developing annual energy budgets and working with finance teams to project the all-in cost of power.

Advanced Excel expertise building financial models and analyzing energy rates, riders, fees etc.

Articulate, executive presence, comfort with negotiations and supplier engagement.

Willingness to support global time zones.

Willingness to travel as required including internationally.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

As Oracle also has a renewable energy goal, 1-3+ years executing renewable energy strategies including familiarity with green tariffs, wheeling arrangements, behind the meter deals, and VPPAs.

Data center or mission critical expertise developing and executing energy strategies cross-functionally.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
