Purification Scientist (Temporary)

This is a temporary position lasting approximately 6 months. This is an on-site position in Sanford, NCExecute lab or pilot-scale purifications using Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), Normal Flow Filtration (NFF), and/or column chromatographyHandle process development and characterization, scale-up and tech transfer to commercial manufacturingProcess simulation and modeling, process troubleshooting, qualification of alternate raw materials and components, new technology development as needed to support experiment executionPrepare equipment, solutions, and consumable materials as neededUtilize technical knowledge to identify, troubleshoot, and assist with resolution of process problemsDocument experiment execution using an electronic lab notebook, batch record, and/or protocolsOrganize technical data and provide oral presentations or technical reports to communicate results, as requiredPrioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines and support team goalsWorking on second shift may be required periodicallyDue to close work with specific bacterial strains, the following vaccinations will be offered by the company:Blood Borne Pathogens (Hep B)(Pneumovax 23)(Menactra)(Tdap)
