Job Description

Operate extrusion equipment in the manufacturing of fiber composite window profiles and components.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Operating PVC extruders (main and co-extruders) to achieve required quality standards and production rates.
  • Setting up cut-off saw to required Quality Standards.
  • Maintaining proper compound volumes to achieve efficient production rates.
  • Reporting production results both good and scrap product through the CMS computer system.
  • Completing required process parameter documentation and paperwork as instructed by shift supervisor.
  • Maintaining clean work area.
  • Assisting other extrusion operators and stackers in meeting shift’s production schedule as required by supervisor.
  • Performing assigned tasks in a safe manner.
  • Completing other assignments as required by the shift supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

User knowledge of the Panel Mate computer control system.

  • 2-5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and complete production schedules and reporting forms.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
  • Previous PC or Mainframe computer use preferred.
