  • You will workcollaboration with the medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to sepsis patients. Organizes care to the patient with sepsis with focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • You will work with facility leadership and multidisciplinary team to implement program specifics according to Joint Commission and HCA standards. Collects and analyzes data surrounding the sepsis patients to improve delivery of care, outcomes, and quality improvement. . Facilitates development and refines the sepsis protocol to become the standard of care within the facility, while providing and participating in the quality improvement process. Collaborates with all members of the interdisciplinary team to achieve evidence based practices within the organization.
  • You will help retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. Written, computer, telephone skills and manual dexterity are required.
  • You will be responsible to track, report and submit hospital sepsis data to the Quality Department and national benchmarking agency(s) and tracks/encourages the utilization of sepsis order sets. The Coordinator is also responsible for any other duties as assigned.

A.Licensure: Current valid nursing license under Compact License Agreement

B.Education/Training: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

C.Experience: One (1) year experience in acute care preferred.

D.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Other Attributes: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills. Fluent computer skills including Excel database, graphs, PowerPoint and Meditech.
