Duties and Responsibilities:
Interface with Powell Engineering on design changes, drawing updates and engineering change requests including but not limited to submission, tracking and training of such changes
Calibrate, repair, and maintain all gauges, measuring tools and instruments for Powell Valves
Advise, assist and troubleshoot quality and technical problems in Assembly, Machine Shop, Stores and Shipping
Review and investigate causes of productions scrap
Process and investigate returns, prepare reports and communicate with Customer Service and customers
Identify, plan and suggest/implement improvements in all processes
Audit records, procedures and instructions; initiate immediate corrections
Maintain and monitor for changes in procedures, work instructions and form; write and edit as necessary
Develop and enhance procedures and methods for calibration, tests and measurement
Review, analyze and investigate data from tests, scrap and productions reports including returns
Schedule and prepare shipments of gauges, tools and instruments for calibration service
Review, inspect and report on vendor performance and quality of product received
Audit cryogenic cleaning area and process
Manage and monitor requirements for EPA, OSHA and SCDHEC
Assist with quality related programs and procedures and direction of plan to the other QA/QC personnel.
Assist with establishing process improvements and improve the product quality to reduce product defects.
