Security Specialist PKI

Day to day responsibilities: We have a team of 4 people for PKI and certificate management at BMW. We are operating internal Microsoft CA’s and attach HSM for private key storage. We also maintain a system called Certificate lifecycle management that handles the signing of server certificates with the help of our internal CA and external CA. We are looking for someone who can support us in the operations of these things and solving problems when they come up and also being involved in a migration from our certificate lifecycle management system that is homegrown java development. We are doing a lot of evaluations of tools in the market and want to implement this next year. Regular tickets get sent to India. This position is third level support and help solve something that is out of the ordinary. This scope is global and is supporting BMW global. There might be interactions with BMW IT in Germany. German language is not a requirement. Looking for someone who knows how to operate and manage Microsoft CA (certificate authority). Someone who has knowledge of HSM’s and certificates in general. General IT security and brisk knowledge is required since this is a security topic. Need someone with some Agile methodology (knowledge of sprints, etc.) Don’t need someone with development capabilities but that wouldn’t be a bad thing either if they do happen to have this knowledge. Looking for someone with broader IM capabilities. Experience working with a service provider would be helpful especially working with international partners. Must have requirements: We need management of servers experience and a little bit of scripting is helpful. If they have knowledge of Bash or other types of tools that is helpful. If the experience is only on the helpdesk side then would not be a fit, candidate must have PKI and CA’s and certificate management on the actual IT side. They need to run these things and not just use them. Nice to have: Java skills would be a nice to have. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence would also be helpful. WFH: 20% in office / 80% work from home, usually come in to office on Tuesday's due to sprint planning.
