Job Description

We are looking for a

Senior Software Engineerto join the team in Sydney.You will be kept busy designing, building and maintaining our next generation platforms, always with best practices and resiliency in mind. This full-stack, hands-on role will see yousolutioning, developing, deploying and supporting our new microservice based rating platform, which will be used for pricing product usage across our global voice network covering Australia, NZ and Singapore.

What you'll do as a Senior Software Engineer:

  • Play a key role in building out a brand new platform
  • Build reliable and scalable applications
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews
  • Continually push for and implement engineering best practices
  • Work in an agile environment and help to improve these practices
  • Evaluate new backend technologies and development patterns
  • Have testing, security, and performance at the front of your mind during all design decisions
  • Mentor junior members of the team

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Golang or Java
  • Ability to design and maintainlarge scale distributed systems
  • Knowledge of high throughput Microservice based architectures
  • Solid public cloud experience, ideallyAWS
  • You continually automate manual processes to drive efficiency
  • Able to owntechnical projects and improveengineering practices
  • You are a person who continually self learns and improves your technical skillsets, and are curious, tenacious and creative
  • Good understanding of ReactJS
  • Bonus points for knowledge of GraphQL
