Work you'll do
  • Manages onsite delivery of Managed Security Services to a State Government client to provide timely, accurate, planned completion and implementation of security services, including 24x7x365 operational support.
  • Leads primary day-to-day interactions with client team and supported customers, including State cybersecurity staff.
  • Conducts research, identifies vendors, develops responses to Request for Service (RFS), analyzes new requirements, and recommends sound strategies technical projects.
  • Manages the daily integration of all aspects of the service delivery (onsite and remote Security Operations Center services) to ensure timely support services and minimum downtime.
  • Manages the daily operation of all Information Security workflows (Protection, Detection, Response and Compliance) and leads integration of network security and security operations at the point the client engages on the services.
  • Develops and maintains all the standards and procedures related to the system and provides published instructional manuals (SOP's) and documents to maintain service delivery targets and SLA's
  • Develops reporting processes and reports that track and monitor performance, KPI's and SLA's.
  • Conducts daily monitoring and maintenance activities in accordance with prescribe protocols to insure the most effective utilization and optimized performance of supported systems
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to help ensure team members have necessary skills and knowledge to effectively perform their job functions.
  • Adhere to ITSM policies (Change Advisory Board, Architecture Review Board, and Major Incident Reviews) to delivering managed services, oversee delivery of Root Cause Analysis and follow up remediation action items.
  • Works with account leadership teams prepare RFPs, Change Requests for additional security services, providing a high-level business and technical interpretation of network security Infrastructure efforts (Writeups, sizing, pricing and staffing

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required - experience able to be substituted in lieu of education
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Experience working with RMF and NIST 800-53
  • Experience working with cyber security tools
  • Experience with cyber awareness (e.g., phishing emails, cyber trainings)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Project
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within Cybersecurity
  • Must have an understanding and hands-on experience in delivery of both IT and Cybersecurity operations.
  • Prior experience interacting and communicating with Director and above level individuals.
  • Must be willing to be onsite for 100% of the time.
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Facilitation skills and experience required.
Preferred:
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
