Description SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a

Software Test Technician to join our team in

Sterling Heights, MI and Charleston, SC in support of U.S. Military Wheeled Vehicle Systems.

This position is contingent upon contract award which is expected February/March 2023. This date is subject to change. The Software Test Technician:
  • Maintains a dedicated Software Integration Laboratory (SIL) under the supervision of a Software Test Engineer
  • Executes test plans, test cases, test procedures and diagnostics to enable separate systems to be brought together under controlled conditions
  • Ensures all information systems products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements
  • Performs tests of software and/or systems using defined methods and procedures to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
  • Documents and communicates test results
  • Occasionally performs other IT systems activities such as installation, operation, sustainment and support

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • AA Degree in related discipline and six (6) years or more of related experience. (additional two (2) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed to handle multiple task/projects and to work independently.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are also required to work well with all levels of staff and managers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET Clearance
