Delaney Oyster House is in search of a talented Sous Chef to join our team.

Located in the heart of Charleston’s downtown peninsula, Delaney Oyster House is a seafood-focused restaurant and raw bar celebrating the charm and hospitality of the Lowcountry. James Beard Award-nominated Chef Shamil Velazquez showcases the bounty of coastal and inland waterways to offer fresh and sustainable seafood in a casual-chic atmosphere.

This position is for someone who prides themselves on operating with integrity and professionalism. We are seeking someone who is team oriented at all times and finds themselves leading by example. The Sous Chef is responsible for managing the kitchen team and maintaining restaurant standards while fostering a positive team environment.

The Sous Chef:

Experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant, in a management or lead-line cook position.

Adept at prioritizing multiple tasks with good communication and delegation skills, while staying detail oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Interested in learning and understanding all facets of management – hiring, training, scheduling, vendor relations, operations, and financial discipline.
