Description Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Project Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing manufacturing team in the Orangeburg, South Carolina area. As a Project Accountant, your duties will focus heavily on Fixed Assets and Capital expenditures to include account analysis and reconciliations, Project budgets and forecasting, and annual audit preparation, This position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to help you achieve long-term potential within the company. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills, experience in the Fixed Assets arena and who enjoys working in a challenging and complex environments to support the continued success of the organization.What you get to do every day

Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Engage in various department-wide initiatives

Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Detailed and have the ability work independently

Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

Capital Improvement experience

Expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting

Project Cost experience

Capital assets experience preferred

Experience with Capitalization

ERP system experience

3+ years of overall general accounting experience

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
