We re looking for a Sr. Rubrik Storage/Backup Engineer for a hybrid role in Richmond, VA. If you re looking for a new opportunity, apply today! Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design, implementation, securing, and management of the storage environments expected to have a 100% uptime and support sensitive and restricted data
- Drive storage/backup strategies and recommend industry best practices for solutions that provide proactive forecasting
- Design and deploy effective solutions using Rubrik CDM
Skills & Qualifications: - Must be able to work on a W-2
- 3 years of design and implementation experience in IT, including deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines:
- Infrastructure and network design
- Application development
- Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
- Middleware
- Servers and storage
- Database management and operations
- Clustering technologies
- Virtualization
- Cloud technologies
- Active directories and protocols
- Solid understanding of product management, Agile principles, and development methodologies
- Ability to support Agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impacts, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
- Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
- Knowledge and experience with monitoring and optimization tools
- Extensive track record implementing and managing large complex enterprise storage solutions
- Expert level knowledge and experience with:
- Deploying and managing Rubrik CDM
- Leveraging IT Enterprise version for data protection
- Extensive knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure, SAAS, and PAAS
- Knowledge in deploying AZURE resources, compute/storage, policy creation, and AWS resources
- Expert understanding of enterprise monitoring
- Experience with architect and deploy enterprise monitoring and API integration for alerts
- Strong understanding of alert and escalation designs
- Experience with dashboard design and big data analysis
- Extensive experience with any of the following: Brocade DCX Data Center Fiber Cores, Brocade Network Advisor, Brocade Edge Switches, or CISCO Fiber Switches
- Expert knowledge of managing enterprise class backup solutions with emphasis in disaster recovery readiness
- High understanding of any of the following: NetBackup Software, VEEAM Backup Software, TSM Backup, EMC Legato Backup Software, and Unitrends
