Remote Opportunity!Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other job-related degree, or 4 years of job-related work experience OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate degree in computer science, information technology, or other job-related degree
  • 7 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or test matrices
  • Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems
  • Skilled in:
    • Testing data creation and manipulation
    • Negotiation and/or influencing business or technical partners
  • Ability to:
    • Write complex test cases/scripts
    • Document complex problems and assist in their resolution
    • Understand functional connections between applications
    • Utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.
    • Access DB2 tables via TSO or any other tools like Data Studio, DB Visualizer, and Rocket Shuttle
    • Write queries to retrieve data from SQL server data base
    • Write SQL queries to retrieve data from DB2 tables and validate data quality
    • Review inbound/outbound extracts in TSO
    • Download extracts from TSO, convert files in various formats from CSV to Excel, Excel to CSV, and Flat file to Excel
  • Strong analysis skills

Responsibilities:
  • Provide service for multiple clients
  • Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities
  • Perform quality checks across various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed
  • Perform application testing analysis and lead activities that may include leading the development of test plans, cases, scenarios, and matrices, attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports, and developing processes
  • Create test cases, execute testing, and document results
  • Define and analyze quality assurance metrics, such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status
  • Lead process improvement initiatives related to testing methodologies and techniques
  • Make recommendations to clients on how to improve operational workflows
  • Provide service for multiple clients, which may include onsite service where needed
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with customers to understand and resolve technical issues
  • Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff
  • Compare data in source tables vs target tables and identify differences
  • Verify data is transformed and loaded in the target table based on the business logic provided in the mapping document
  • Review mapping documents and document test cases based on the business logic
