Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in the service industry, located in Goose Creek, South Carolina. This position will involve working with both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), performing bank reconciliations, managing the general ledger, posting journal entries, handling month-end close procedures, and managing intercompany accounting. Responsibilities: Manage and process all Accounts Payable (AP) transactions Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable (AR) Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Oversee and maintain the general ledger Prepare and post accurate journal entries Perform month-end close procedures in a timely manner Manage intercompany accounting processes and transactions Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities Collaborate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.For more information please contact jerome.johnson@roberthalf comRequirements Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role in the Service industry. Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations. Proficiency in working with General Ledger and Journal Entries. Experience with Month End Close processes. Knowledge of Intercompany Accounting practices. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with financial regulations and industry standards.
