Description We are in need of a meticulous and skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. Based in North Charleston, South Carolina, this role involves a range of responsibilities in the financial and accounting sector. Responsibilities: Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements Maintain and update the general ledger regularly Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions Assist in the month-end close procedures to facilitate timely reporting Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in performing accounting tasks Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in all accounting practices Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes Provide support in auditing activities when required Address and resolve accounting inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Requirements Must possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Experience with Bank Reconciliations is crucial Proficiency in managing General Ledger Experience in preparing Journal Entries Must be knowledgeable in Month End Close processes Familiarity with NetSuite software is desirable Prior experience with Oracle software will be beneficial Proficiency in QuickBooks software is desired Experience with SAP software is advantageous Candidates should have a strong background in accounting or a related field Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are necessary Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively within a team setting High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently Familiarity with financial regulations and standards is necessary Candidates are expected to continuously update their knowledge and stay current with new accounting procedures and standards.Email directly for more info - bryan.thierfelder@roberthalf comRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
