Summary What you'll do

Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities. Track quality assurance metrics.

Participate in design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions developed using correct testing methodology.Responsible for handling administrative and lead activities such as attending meetings with customers and project teams.Responsible for developing and sending status reports and analyze defects.

This position requires overtime and weekend work (24x7 support). Description • Participate in the design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions are developed using correct testing methodology. Arrange major activities between the client and IS staff to ensure maximum gain from technical resources.

•Complete supportive administrative and lead activities such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes.

• Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, executing testing, and monitoring/documenting results. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. OR
  • 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.

Required Work Experience:
  • 5 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or matrices.

Preferred Work Experience:
  • WEB (MHTK) and Mobile App experience
  • Desktop Applications
  • My Insurance Manager
  • VRU (Voice Response Unit)
  • Live Ops

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems.
  • Thorough understanding of systems migration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skill in testing data creation and manipulation.
  • Ability to understand functional connections between applications.
  • Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.

Required Software and Tools:
  • Standard office equipment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of JAVA, Websphere, Windows, and other middleware platforms.
  • Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM. Skill in whitebox testing, integration testing, static testing, and 508 compliance testing utilizing JAWS software.

Work Environment:
  • The position holds a critical role in the application development process; testing new or modified applications to make sure they will work in the client's operating environment.
  • Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
