Description Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Azure migrations and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing migration projects while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in the Azure environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure services, tools, and best practices, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.Responsibilities:

Lead and execute end-to-end Azure migration projects, including discovery, assessment, design, and implementation phases.

Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures in Azure.

Conduct environment assessments to identify workloads suitable for migration and develop migration strategies.

Utilize Azure Migrate, ASR (Azure Site Recovery), and related tools to facilitate seamless workload migration.

Optimize cloud resources, monitor performance, and implement cost-saving strategies using Azure Monitor, Advisor, and Cost Management tools.

Configure and manage hybrid cloud setups, including on-premises-to-Azure connectivity via VPN, ExpressRoute, and VNet.

Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage accounts, and application services in Azure.

Ensure the security of workloads by implementing Azure Security Center, Sentinel, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, or Terraform.

Automate deployment, monitoring, and remediation tasks using Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and PowerShell scripting.

Troubleshoot issues related to Azure services, networks, and infrastructure, providing expert-level resolution and root cause analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and application teams, to ensure successful migration and post-migration support.

Maintain and update documentation, including design diagrams, migration plans, and operational guides.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years of hands-on Azure migration experience.

Deep understanding of Azure services, including VMs, Azure SQL Database, App Services, Storage, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

Expertise in migration tools such as Azure Migrate, ASR, and Database Migration Service (DMS).

Strong knowledge of networking in Azure, including VNet, NSG, load balancers, and DNS.

Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, CLI, or Python.

Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity management (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA, and Conditional Access.

Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability solutions in Azure.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer.

Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, in an Azure context.

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for hybrid or multi-cloud strategies.

Strong understanding of ITIL principles and workflows for incident, change, and problem management.

Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems in a cloud environment.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly.

Strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Work Environment:

Hybrid or remote, with occasional on-site visits based on project requirements.

May require after-hours support during critical migration activities or incident resolution.
