Description:

Systems Software Programmer – AdvancedThe client is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and obtaining multiple mission critical applications .The client seeks a highly motivated individual who has the skills for the software development to be part of the Web Application Development team to continue the delivery the new Economic Services and Re-Engineering projects.This position will act as a back up to the lead developer and will be responsible for designing and implementing the processes and functions into the client department.DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Candidate should be an experienced coder in both visual interfaces and web services construction.In addition, they should be expert in the most effective and efficient product development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC 3 or higher, jQuery, Angular, PrimeNG, .NET, MS SQL Server 2016 enterprise server and TFS (Team Foundation Server).This includes code development, unit testing, source code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment.Systems Software Programmer – AdvancedCandidate should be an experienced coder in both visual interfaces and web services construction.In addition, they should be expert in the most effective and efficient product development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC 3 or higher, jQuery, Angular, PrimeNG, .NET, MS SQL Server 2016 enterprise server and TFS (Team Foundation Server).This includes code development, unit testing, source code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment.This contract position is needed for ongoing development and support for the client project systems.System assignments will include maintaining and updating legacy applications into the larger integrated client, serving as a developer in relations .This position will also serve as a developer for the effort to migrate our client project as well as act as support for the current applications.This position may be assigned to additional system.REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):5+ years of experience independently designing and implementing medium to large-scale software systems and components using .net architectures.5+ years’ experience developing data-driven applications utilizing significant relational database engines as part of the overall application architecture.5+ years’ experience building web-based software systems, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, highly-scalable approaches, and complex security models/implementations1+ years’ experience in integrating CodePal in .NET applicationsKnowledge of Microsoft operating systems and at least two application, database, messaging or web server systems.Successful design and implementation of multiple software components and subsystems.Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions.Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, and customers/stakeholders as needed or directed.Ability to communicate effectively with the client and other State information technology staff.Environments and Tools:MS Server 2012 R2 enterprise server, IIS 8.5MS SQL Server 2016.TFS (Team Foundation Server)Microsoft Visual Studio 2010/2013/2015C#, ASP.NET, .NET – Must 5 yearsIISASP.NET MVC 3 or higher – Must 3 yearsjQuery – Must 3 yearsSSRSWCF – Must 5 yearsEntity Framework 6 – Recommended 2 yearsResponsive design – Recommended 3 yearsAngular (PrimeNG) – desirable 1 yearPREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):Preference will be given to experience related to Economic Services Eligibility applications (SNAP/TANF) system design and development and/or knowledge of the client project services program's mission and objectivesExperience with Agile software development is a plus.REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline.YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE CAN BE SUBSTITUTED IN LIEU OF DEGREE.Skills :Database Platforms Internet information Services (IIS) Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsDatabase Platforms SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsDatabase Platforms Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsProgramming Languages .Net Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsProgramming Languages ASP.NET Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsProgramming Languages C# Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsSpecialties RESPONSIVE DESIGN Yes 1 Advanced Currently Using 6 + YearsAdditional Skills:ASP.NET MVC 3 or higher – Must 3 yearsjQuery – Must 3 yearsEntity Framework 6 – Recommended 2 yearsAngular (PrimeNG) – desirable 1 yearNote :Remote Work Availability: 50%.First month training is onsite Monday thru Friday.Then remote two days a week.
