The Workers’ Compensation Team Lead is responsible for the oversight of the Workers’ Compensation Team, provides leadership and supervises the intake, coordination, examination, and resolution of Workers’ Compensation claims.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervises the Workers Compensation Department staff, provides close direction and oversight of work performed by staff, claim caseloads and analyzes their results

Responsible for performance management of Worker’s Compensation team, including monitoring employee performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews and coaching employees

Supports Company’s OSHA reporting and compliance with state and federal workplace safety laws and regulations

Responsible for the Department’s investigation and settlements of Workers’ Compensation claims, in compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements

Partners with vendors to oversee the management of workers’ compensation claims

Partners with the Human Resources Department, the Legal Department and other corporate partners to address complex workers compensation matters

Responds to state and federal workers compensation audits in conjunction with corporate partners

Stays abreast of best practices and changes in workers’ compensation laws

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Over 5 years of Workers’ Compensation experience required

Some legal experience preferred

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) required

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in the English language required
