Summary Contributes to the design and usability of internal and external browser based applications throughout the scope, development, and implementation process. Transforms complex concepts, requirements and business objectives into user centered designs and interfaces that are aligned with business goals, user goals, and system constraints while applying best practices. Combines design and usability to turn digital solutions into user-friendly experiences. Creates successful user experiences through research, feedback, analysis, testing and best practices.   • Design user friendly, effective, and engaging user interfaces for a variety of platforms including mobile, tablet, and desktop applications. Work with project team to rapidly prototype and iterate on multiple design solutions at the same time. Create user interface design artifacts to describe the intended user experience.
  • Collaborate with product owners and project team to identify user needs. Conduct user research activities, illustrate and design ideas, develop task flow analysis and conduct usability testing to gather feedback. Synthesize research findings into meaningful recommendations and actionable results. Share user data and insights with the team to communicate user needs and best practices. Test and refine design decisions based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Work across teams and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including the business and application development teams. Serve as a true advocate for our users and thoroughly understand how audiences interact with our applications. Evangelize user experience best practices and collaborate with customer and internal team members to validate conceptual designs.
  • Provide appropriate support and documentation to help maintain the usability integrity of application systems. This may include identifying and troubleshooting UX problems, serving as subject matter expert, establishing standards, best practices, and processes. Stay current on user centered design best practices, innovations, trends and methodologies.

Required education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Behavioral Research, Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree

Required Work Experience:
  • Two years user interface design experience and a portfolio of projects.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Advanced written and communication skills with the ability to connect with tech and non tech people
  • Ability to work independently or within a collaborative environment
  • Creative visual design capability
  • Ability to understand the needs of the end user and have creative solutions
  • Understanding of interactive design

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of coding, wireframing and prototyping. UX certification preferred.

  • XD
  • UserZoom
  • Figma
  • Photoshop and/or similar programs
