Analytical Chemistry Intern

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine analytical techniques relate to the established Laboratory procedures SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibility to log received samples into the SLIMS using work orders from the client.Responsibility of analyzing all analytical samples using the correct procedures and/or methods. Responsibility to print sample labels.Responsibilities to ensure samples are sorted correctly before labeling and boxing the samples.Responsibility to report results within the time frame specified.Responsibility to follow all quality directives of this Department.Responsible for operation of laboratory instrumentationResponsibility to bring all problems (technical and managerial) to the attention of the Chemist.Responsibility to adhere to all quality, health and safety rules and regulations.Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS – HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTShall adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements of the SGS OI Management System, country legislation, Rules for Life, local legal requirements and laws.Shall comply and conform to the QHSE, Global and country policies of SGS.Participate and form part of Operational Integrity projects and campaigns.Apply Check status process and use the Stop Work Authority whenever the control of risks is not clearly established and understood.Assist in the monthly stock counts within the department
