Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleIn the role of National Permitting Director, you will be responsible for leading a team that drives large network projects with a primary focus of creating and executing contracts and permits to achieve expected network designs and timeframes. You will be responsible for all vendor and agency interactions including highly structured results that drive accurate and timely designs to achieve key deliverables for large-scale network deployments.The Main Responsibilities Provide strategic direction, guidance and leadership to the team handling network deliverables on an end-to-end basis for all levels of jurisdictional and landlord relationships, including new property acquisitions Lead and direct a team responsible for permit creation, filing and management through execution Manage third party vendors including milestone monitoring, cost and performance management Create & govern systems & processes to achieve intended outcomes for large scale projects Build and maintain repeatable processes and relationships with large municipalities, rail roads, state agencies (DOTs) Acts as subject matter expert on Enterprise matters for Operations, Product, Regulatory and Technology Prepare and deliver executive presentations to update progress against milestones that support the overall network plan Frequent travel may be requiredWhat We Look For in a Candidate Minimum 8 years' experience working at a competitive enterprise network operator with preference for long-haul network footprints Minimum 4 years working in a role handling jurisdictional and property agreement negotiations Experience leading negotiations, redlining contracts and be able to conduct simple financial analysis on compensable elements in regulated and commercial agreements Demonstrated competency in leading and developing teams Ability to successfully partner and communicate at the Director and Executives levels Qualitative approach to design and execution with feedback processes built to provide continual improvements for stakeholder engagement and execution Comfortable operating in a high demand and fast paced environment with a deliverable driven mindset#CNPCompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
