Equipment Mechanic

Job Title: Equipment MechanicJob DescriptionThis position is for a local construction company. Candidates will be working on a variety of equipment from pavers, front loaders, and skid steers to dump trucks and generators. The company has one technician that typically does most of the service calls but would like candidates to be able to obtain a CDL in order to take service calls if needed.Responsibilities

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and pneumatic construction equipment.

Work on a variety of equipment including pavers, front loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, and generators.

Perform preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Repair small engine equipment as needed.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience working as a truck/heavy equipment mechanic preferred.

4+ years of experience repairing, performing preventative maintenance, and mechanic work on heavy construction equipment.

Experience with repairing skid steers, front loaders, excavators, dozers, pavers, dump trucks, and generators.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude.

CDL and Double, Triple endorsement preferred.
