Fullstack Software Developer

A new exciting opportunity exists for a talented and experienced software developer within Deloitte Financial Services Advisory, based in Johannesburg. We are seeking a talented individual to assist with some of our challenging, high-profile and global software development projects. The successful candidate will have experience to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure.Essential Duties:Implementing efficient code across the stackDetermining operational practicalityDeveloping quality assurance proceduresDeploying software services as containers to KubernetesMaintaining and upgrading existing systemsWorking closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analystsIdentifying areas for modification in existing systems and subsequently developing these modifications. Identifying where improvements can be made using custom development vs. leveraging existing technologies, libraries etc.Creation of unit/integration testing for systemsWriting code/configuration which ensures the highest levels of system availabilityManaging and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructureInstalling, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
