Job Summary

Performs MRI examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy of Avera St. Luke's, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.

Assist in clinical training of staff technologists and radiology clinical students.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

Education and/or Experience

Technical Degree is required.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent specialty and in good standing with the accrediting board.

0-6 months of experience is required.

1-2 years of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent specialty. Preferred: - Technologist be working towards advanced certification in MRI.

Certification Requirements for Position:

BLS (Basic Life Support) (within 3 months of hire)

Work Schedule

Varied shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks

Occasional weekend (Not usually required)

Occasional holiday (Every 4th)

Call time (Once a week and every 4th weekend)

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$28.75 - $43.50 per hour
