The CI Maintenance Technician will repair, maintain, improve, and install new associated plant equipment for the process and water treatment plants in line with achieving our performance objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systemsTroubleshoot and repair jaw and gyratory crushersTroubleshoot and repair centrifugal slurry and ANSI water pumpsTroubleshoot and repair positive displacement rotary pumpsProficient in structure welding and fabrication. Mig, Tig, Arc, plasma and oxy/acetylene cutting.Proficient in carbon and stainless-steel pipe weldingKnowledge in concrete form and finishing.Proficient in pipe layout and preparationPerform lazar alignments on direct drive and belt driving drive components.Proficient in the operation of skid steerProficient in the operation of mini excavatorProficient in the operation of manliftProficient in the operation of telehandlerProficient in repair and new install of basic plumbing (NPT pipe, PVC, PEX)Able to erect basic scaffolding (training will be provided)Assist E&I technicians with basic electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installationInstall new systems, circuits, and hardware that have been deemed to improve processes and process equipment.Other duties as required.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday.Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Haile Gold Mine, Inc. promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing.Safety:Ensures that all tasks comply with Company health and safety requirements and policies and procedures and strengthens the culture of safety in the workplace.Demonstrate safety awareness.Participate in safety meetings and site safety programmes.
