Purchasing Officer

Support the continuous improvement and execution of Haile Gold Mine’s purchasing strategy, policies, and guidelines; accountable for value-added, cost savings, and other performance metrics.Lead procurement activities for strategic and high-vale goods and services, including mining equipment, reagents, spare parts, and technical services.Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and project teams to forecast procurement needs and manage critical supply timelines.Perform market analysis to allow competitive bidding for proposals that ensure the company is obtaining pricing and cost that are representative of an open market for best value.Maintain confidentiality pertaining to the bidding and procurement process.Process and approve purchase orders for material, equipment, and services.Provide suggestions to improve transactional practices for activities related to the materials purchasing process.Ensure timely and professional service to user departments in the execution of purchase orders.Expedite, track, and report on all open orders.Know and comply with the current Mining Safety and Health regulations and Haile Gold Mine Supply Chain policies.Aid in creating and maintaining processes and reporting for cost savings, purchase trends, and value improvement.
