The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Engineering team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as a Senior Fluid Power Engineer. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.

What Will You Do?

Being a part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team based at our Springhill site,you will provide ongoing fluid power engineering design & project engineering expertise to implement various projects as well as trouble shoot existing fluid power systems across our Port Kembla plant.

In this challenging and diverse role, you will:

  • respond to plant customers to assist with recovery from breakdowns relating to fluid power systems
  • deliver continuous improvement outcomes
  • provide specialist expertise in fluid power design engineering to help minimize business risks associated with the application of this technology in manufacturing improvement projects

More About You

As an experienced Fluid Power Engineer, you will have sound technical and analytical knowledge, as well as apassion for a fluid power career.You will have:

  • degree qualifications in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • experience in a technical engineering role encompassing management of customer interfaces, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • working knowledge of computer aided design tools such as ACAD
  • experience in delivering small to medium size projects
  • trouble shootingexpertise
