Description:A local Sioux Falls client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to join their team on a 12+ month contract. This role will be part of a SAFe Agile Scrum team, primarily focused on maintenance tickets with occasional enhancements. The position involves working with a large volume of policies (700,000) that are still on the Mainframe. There is a strong likelihood that this contract will extend beyond 12 months.Key Responsibilities:

Align with a SAFe Agile Scrum team to manage and resolve maintenance tickets.

Work on occasional enhancement projects.

Collaborate with internal teams to transition to newer technologies.

Support ongoing projects and potential acquisitions that may increase workload.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Assembler and Mainframe COBOL.

Experience with Cyberlife; Life70 and LifeComm are a plus.

Strong background in life insurance, financial services, or banking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

JCL, VSAM, DB2, File-Aid, Expeditor, Endevor, CA-7, PANAPT, $AVRS, SAR, DFSORT, Changeman, SPUFI, ControlM, Abend-Aid, Eclipse, GIT, Bitbucket, IBM WebSphere Server, Aha, Dumpmaster.

Experience with Mulesoft and Verisk Fast technologies is beneficial.

Interview Process:

2 rounds

Project Alignment:

Primarily handling Mainframe work with some involvement in newer technologies.

Responding to maintenance tickets and occasional enhancements.

Additional Information:

This role is not currently set up as a contract-to-hire, but there is potential for a long-term contract and eventual hire.

The team is moving away from legacy systems, with plans to modernize as the New Year approaches.
