High growth company in the construction industry is seeking a key accounting leader to report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is a critical business role that will help to shape the financial future of this high growth organization.

Responsibilities will include the following:

Oversee the monthly, consolidated accounting close process. Ensure relevant explanations are documented for unusual balances, trends, and wherever else to help provide insight for business leaders.

Partner with CFO to help prepare monthly financial presentations to be reviewed with private equity leaders.

Collaborate on the accounting/finance integration process for all future business unit acquisitions.

Partner on the year-end, consolidated accounting closing process including annual external financial statement audit, including tax audit process.

Ensure consistent application of accounting processes and controls.

Provide insights into key financial metrics and trends, offering recommendations for improvement.

Manage and coordinate robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Conduct regular reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial guidance and contribute to strategic decision making.

Help develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and business unit leaders.

Create and maintain financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

Lead and coach team members fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skillset.

Develop strong cross-functional relationships with leaders across the business in pursuit of consistent value creation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.

Minimum 4 years accounting experience with some experience in public accounting preferred.

Ability and desire to work in office 5 days a week.
