We want you to apply now!Job SummaryAs a n Assessment Specialist you will have the privilege to provide assessments and referrals for patients in psychiatric crisis from our community Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Referral Sites, Schools, Correctional Programs, State Agencies, and Emergency Departments. An Assessment Specialist will work with physicians and insurance companies to best decide a plan of care for the patients in need to include insurance pre-certification, coordinating transitions/transfers to inpatient or outpatient care, and completing psycho-social assessments and determining level of care needs based on those results. Pinewood Springs is a 60 bed, 49,900 square foot Hospital serving both Adult and Adolescent patients. A part of Maury Regional Health, Pinewood Springs is located in Columbia, TN, between Nashville and Huntsville. 3 - 5 years behavioral health experience and understanding of diagnosis per the DSM IV qualifications REQUIRED

BLS and CPI required within 30 days of hire, then annually thereafter
