Cash Application Specialist

Description We are offering a contract for a Cash Application Specialist position in Collierville, Tennessee. This role is within the manufacturing industry and requires the individual to handle customer applications with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: Accurately and efficiently process daily cash transactions including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, ensuring they are correctly posted to customer accounts Investigate and rectify any discrepancies in reconciliation in a timely manner Regularly perform reconciliation of multiple bank deposits Communicate effectively with the Credit Department on any issues related to cash application Conduct monthly reconciliation tasks in collaboration with the Treasury Manager Ensure all bank documents are filed systematically and can be retrieved easily when needed Process approved write-offs, offsets, and re-agings as per established guidelines Carry out other duties as assigned by the management team Requirements Proven experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry is essential. Demonstrable proficiency in Cash Applications is a core requirement. Proficiency in Data Entry, particularly numeric, is required. Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle cash application discrepancies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly. Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job. Must have good time management skills to meet deadlines. Ability to multitask and handle high volume transactions. Must have a customer service orientation to deal with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of basic accounting principles will be advantageous. Prior experience with manufacturing accounting software is preferred.
