Cashier-Financial Counselor (Full-Time)

The Cashier-Financial Counselor is responsible for providing patients with a positive financial experience by helping patients navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability. Receives payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Records all GL payments. Communicates with patients to identify and understand financial patient information. Serves as the point of contact for all financial assistance related questions. Maintains petty cash drawer, log, receipts and balances daily. Ensures bank deposits are made each business day. Assists in Patient Registration when needed. Full-Time, M-F, 40 hours per week. High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Business Management or related field preferred. Two years experience in a hospital registration office or related business field preferred.
