S&P Global Market IntelligenceThe Role: Client Services AnalystThe Team: The Research Signals and Alpha Factor Library products provide independent research, quantitative research datasets, and investment consulting services to the institutional asset management community. The group researches and develops individual factors and multi-factor models across a range of asset classes by applying a systematic evaluation process to a variety of fundamental, technical, and industry-specific data sources.The Impact: The role will provide direct support for client technical and data queries, on-boarding, and new client implementations, covering the Research Signals and Alpha Factor Library products. The responsibilities of this role will encompass external client liaisons and involvement with internal data, technical and sales teams. The analyst will be assigned to analytical projects and will also have periodic data collection and cleansing responsibilities.The ideal candidate understands the equity market and quantitative investment strategies. The candidate must be client focused as well as technically literate. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, along with the confidence to visit clients if necessary.What’s in it for you:

Responsibilities:

Provide a positive customer experience by reviewing, troubleshooting, and tracking incoming client support queries

Onboard new clients and prospects and assist during trial periods

Gather client feedback and assist in the preparation of specification documents and business requirements

Responsible for maintaining relevant documentation

Lead special projects that focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Produce research reports such as weekly stock research examples and monthly model performance reports

Work with the business development team to conduct client feedback surveys and client usage reports & analysis

What We’re Looking For:To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should demonstrate the following education, skills and experience:

Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Finance, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Economics, or other analytically oriented field with 1-4 years of experience.

The ideal candidate will need to be detail oriented and task driven with a strong work ethic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ability to work to deadlines and prioritize a complex workload

Prior experience in the investment management space, understanding quant strategies and alternative data landscape required

Ability to communicate complex investment research findings in simple terms to a variety of stakeholders, including clients and sales specialists

Familiarity with, back testing, modeling, research, data management and analysis

Quantitative financial and technical knowledge required

Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills required

Experience with Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of MATLAB/SQL

Programming and/or database experience is a plus
