This position supports individual and business clients in the medical profession in Middle Tennessee, as well as leadership sales staff by performing the most complex daily clerical functions to maintain the office and document and system maintenance and processing. The position requires both the skill set of a Commercial Banking CS and a Private Banking CS, as the Medical team banks both Physician Practices and individual MD’s.

Serves as the primary contact and central information source for customer after the initial sale and plays a key role in maintaining a positive relationship, ensuring customer satisfaction. Processes and administers client account maintenance. Answers client questions from phone calls, emails, and other correspondence. Maintains a working knowledge of all products and delivery systems including but not limited to RMS; Origenate; HOGAN; Mainframe and Online E app to ensure appropriate handling of transactions. Resolves operational issues regarding bank systems. Assumes ownership of job responsibilities.

Clerical functions may include the following for both companies and individuals in the Medical community: transfer of funds between accounts, opening accounts, ordering checks, transferring funds between accounts, researching deposit and loan account issues, initiating template correspondence to client as developed by team, maintaining contact lists, filing of electronic and hard copy client records, assembly of sales materials for prospect and client sales calls, follow-up on new accounts for debit cards, checks, online banking. CS will assist with wire transfer and cashier check requests and follow guidelines for administering. “Special Client requests” that may include tasks such as monthly principal reductions to loans will also be the responsibility of the CS to schedule and expedite. When the team is away from the office, the CS will handle all phone calls and research requests. Client Specialist will keep team informed of client activity if deemed “out of the normal” course of daily routine by CS. On a quarterly basis, CS will assist team with client event to include email of invitation, client response, and attendance expectation. Other duties may be necessary to coordinate events quarterly.

Sales Assistance % of Time – 30%

CS will catalog any company communications regarding pricing or product additions or modifications and keep team informed of such. CS will also attend training sessions as needed for service knowledge and take corporate training as required and requested in MyPlan. CS will attend all CS meetings called by Team Lead monthly, and will assist team in maintaining daily calendar and scheduling of sales calls. Client and prospect calls should be entered into RMS by CS on Thursday of each week. Other duties to assist sales team efforts as needed may be added to CS responsibilities.

15% - Processes and administers commercial loans. Records new loans, establishes relevant files, processes loan payments and maintains loan records.

15% - Obtains credit information from borrower or internal systems and ensures sufficient loan collateral. Maintains credit files. Calculates loan items and charges such as interest and payments. Assists lending officers in activities such as disbursement of funds and extension of new loans. Prepares notices, and periodic loan reports.

25% - Answers client inquiries on bank products, services, accounts and policies; opens new accounts; promotes cross-selling; researches and corrects account discrepancies. Also supports the sales team related to Treasury maintenance and service.

15% - Other duties as assigned; may be responsible for overseeing the operations of an office and assisting the Group with gatherings and events for clients and prospects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

4-6 years experience required; 6-8 years experience preferred.

High School diploma required for consideration (or equivalent).

Accurate typing, spelling and grammar skills. Proficient with applicable computer software. Good written and oral communication skills. Good organizational and customer service skills. General banking/operations experience. Excellent consultative sales and cross-selling skills.
