Position Summary: Manages, analyzes, and appropriately distributes/presents data from various sources to meet clinical quality and financial information needs. Demonstrates and maintains proficiency in applicable computer programs/applications and software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, NextGen EHR/EPM/Patient Portal, Explorer, and Greenway; serves as a resource for end users.

Analyzes statistical data and prepares reports/graphs for further review and utilization for process improvement.

Completes clinical and/or financial analyses as requested.

Maintains applicable databases related to quality and financial information including:

data entry

ensuring integrity of data

preparing reports, charts, graphs, scorecards, presentations, etc.

disseminating information

Assists with monitoring compliance with clinical quality/care guidelines, PQRS, meaningful use and other clinical quality or pay-per-performance metrics.

Obtains information for and prepares facility scorecards. Maintains database of all trended information and educates leadership and staff about scorecards purpose and information.

Creates and updates quarterly provider and/or clinic balanced scorecards.

Runs monthly quality analyzes and reports to Leadership Team.

Monitors public reporting of data through the CMS/QualityNet, Healthgrades, etc. and replicates as needed for accuracy and to identify opportunities for improvement.

Assists departments in setting up and maintaining databases for their departments.

Serves as an active member of designated Teams and Committees as applicable.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a professional healthcare related field or in data analytics, statistics or information technology preferred. A combination of post-secondary education and professional level healthcare experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement. Minimum Experience: At least three (3) years professional level experience which would include significant experience in compiling, manipulating, and reporting on various clinical quality, financial, and healthcare related metrics. Strong computer skills including the ability to generate, manipulate and analyze statistical data. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Those with clinical certification/licensure or certification in applicable field may be given preference. Licensure Requirement: None.
