They are accountable and responsible for all departmental activities to ensure delivery of quality patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment. The Director will ensure effective administrative management of clinical functions related to personnel and policy in order to meet the mission of patient care, education and research within a fiscally responsible organization.What qualifications you will need:
Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing as RN or a Board of Nursing from a compact state required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing is required, Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Current BLS certification required.
Previous Clinical experience in area of responsibility required.
3-5 years of supervisory or management level experience required.
What you will do in this role:
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patient appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Develop recommendations on policies and procedures for Clinical Operations.
Provide overall leadership and management of departments supervised.
Provide administrative and clinical supervision of staff within departments supervised.
Assume responsibility for clinical and resource management of unit.
Assume responsibility for employee, physician and patient satisfaction.
Assume responsibility for standards of practice and for quality of care.
Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
Actively participate in the reduction/elimination of diversion and bed flow management.
Participate with Team and development of processes to increase throughput.
Assist with any/ all certification/regulatory initiatives.
Conduct periodic audits of essential clinical activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Participate in developing department goals/objectives and employee engagement action planning.
Support the facility’s Standards of Performance and values.
Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
