and test teams with configuration management services required for the

generation of software and firmware. Responsible for reproducible builds of

software and firmware releases, the CM team members maintain and operate CM

infrastructure and tools, follow defined CM processes, and exercise best

practices in CM.Position OverviewThe CM software

engineer collaborates with project leaders, develops CM plans, sets up build

environments, implements the build schedule, and publishes build information to

appropriate project stakeholders. The CM software engineer also creates and

maintains scripts for build automation and archives source code and build

results. CM team members coordinate

with the global CM organization to align policies and processes. CM team members

also support other users of CM tools (e.g., Git, Visual Studio).Key ResponsibilitiesInterface with the CM manager and development/testleaders to know the current backlog and plans for upcoming projects

Generate softwareproducts in an automated (scripted) and timely manner using a standardizedenvironment

Collectand provide production relevant data on the generation process

Reproducedelivered software products version management for projects

Supportspecification and implementation of the version management scheme according tocompany standards

Providegenerated software products to development, test, and production

Archivereleased software products

Comply with the established processes within FAand local development and test teams

Promote and implement continuous improvements toCM process and infrastructure

Minimum RequirementsBS or MS degree in engineering, softwaredevelopment, or other relevant technical field

0 to 4+ years of experience in relevant technicalfields (e.g., configuration management, software or hardware development, ortesting)

Familiarity with the product development processand overall product lifecycle

Strongunderstanding of CM best practices and principles

Abilityto manage multiple software releases in multiple environments

Ability to interact productively with colleaguesat all levels

Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated and results-oriented with provenproblem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Strong training/mentoring skills

Preferred Skills and ExperienceAbilityto implement, document and maintain CM scripts (Perl, Powershell)

Azure Dev Ops

Proficiency with source code management tools, (e.g. Git)

Familiarity with test methodologies and bestpractices

Provencustomer service skills

Intercultural/multinationalteamwork and distributed product development

Creating,implementing, and customizing build automation tools

Performingsoftware builds, releases, and release management

Working in an agile environment or familiarity with agile methodologies

Assistingdevelopers with issues related to CM tool use (check-out, committing, branching,etc.)

Usage ofindustrial automation products (Siemens SIMATIC products preferred)

Intercultural/multinationalteamwork and distributed product development

Configurationexperience with ESXi and VMWare and disaster recovery

Integratingtest automation suites into the continuous integration process

Expertise with Veeam administration
