Director, Applications to join us in ourLaVergne, TN(greater Nashville area) headquarters. The Ingram Technology team is looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Software Engineering to join our industry leading technical team. As Director, you will develop leaders of teams, helping them enable their team’s goals. You will work closely with your partners to prioritize, create, and own the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for your Engineering teams. You will promote a culture of growth, clear communication, and clarity. You will enable your teams to deliver high quality, scalable software that is the industry leader in the publishing space and enables an entire global supply chain! Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
- 7 years’ experience in Application Development
- 5 years management experience
- Works with engineering in a leadership capacity.
- Identifies Standards of code for “cross-pollination” to other projects.
- Provides support and oversight for development of proposals and prototypes.
- Manages software development life cycle processes.
- Works closely with operation teams to insure sound operation and delivery of services.
- Determines project assignments for development managers
- Works directly with clients to integrate and support products.
- Works with leadership team to plan future R&D projects.
- Investigates new technologies, creating prototypes for business teams.
- Works with Account Managers and Business team on responses to client RFP’s and integration requests.
- Determines new features with appropriate and effective design.
- Works with direct reports to build technical strategy and roadmaps
- Leads the discussion to deliver estimates for engineering efforts.
- Determines/creates an effective structure and organization.
- Engages with clients to understand their needs and demands
- Assesses applicability of tools/software for development projects.
- Research solutions to bugs and other software performance issues.
