Director, International Sales to contribute to our

team in

LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. Hybridschedules will be offered, but person must be onsite.

As the Director, International Sales you will provide leadership and direction to the International sales team, to include Ingram associates and field sales agents. You will participate in the design of overall strategic direction for International sales functions and manage the implementation of the plan to ensure achievement of established company goals and objectives. In addition, you’ll maintain contacts and develop strong relationships with key accounts and client publishers. The ideal candidate will have publisher/wholesale/sales operations background.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years prior experience working global retailers, marketplace sellers, and sales operations.
  • 2 years leadership/management experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Profit & Loss (P&L) management
  • Intermediate to Advanced level experience with MS Excel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to the International sales force, to include setting sales goals and measuring performance toward the achievement of global goals.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and conducts performance evaluations for all direct reports ensuring consistent application of company policies and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Participates in the design of both wholesale and IBC global strategic plans and leads the implementation of approved plan.
  • Directs the development of new International markets and accounts.
  • Communicates to executive leadership team the “state of the industry” as it relates to the International customer base.
  • Drives and implements streamlined processes that optimize revenue and meet the needs of the marketplace.
  • Evaluates current and prospective customers for profitability and determines the viability of new and/or continued business partnerships.
  • Develops sales forecasts and prepares and manages sales department expense budget.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with all key International book resellers to include retailers, internet resellers, library suppliers, specialty accounts and wholesalers.
  • Understands International opportunities and requirements and coordinates internally to meet market and customer needs.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop strategies for pursuing new business opportunities and promoting Ingram International programs and services worldwide.
