Description:Perform a variety of functions in the development and/or improvement of production methods, processes, machines, automation/ interface, equipment, and tooling designs used in the manufacture of wire productsInvestigate and recommend areas for cost reduction, perform computations, collect engineering data, perform feasibility studies, prepare reports, and handle other specific tasks as requiredUltimately support the plant in meeting all Key Performance IndicatorsAssisting with major engineering projects and complete tasks as assignedPerform various duties including: engineering studies and investigations, machine / equipment / tooling design, process and assembly development, database design and development, equipment acquisition and plant layoutWork collectively with Quality, Production, Maintenance and other departments to improve manufacturing methods and reduce costsMaking recommendations regarding process design from the standpoint of manufacturing engineeringParticipate in the implementation of new methods, equipment, machines and toolingAs necessary, assist supervisors and operators during the course of production as well as with conducting trial runsMaintaining product and process specifications including database and report modifications as neededInvestigating improved methods and equipmentDevelop advanced methods of production and data collectionSimplify or eliminate manual operations, utilizing and developing automation approaches when feasibleInvestigate problems in production or operations and devised solutions to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)Top Skills Details:Manufacturing engineering/Process engineeringContinuous improvementExperience Level:Entry - Intermediate LevelDiversity, Equity & Inclusion At Actalent, diversity and inclusion are a bridge towards the equity and success of our people.
