Estimator / Draftsman

Responsibilities:

- Proficient in AutoCAD with basic knowledge of plate and structural steel.

-Able to work multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced setting.

-Capable of doing basic calculations.

-Generating material lists for fabrications shop.

-Cross checking material lists, takeoffs and drawings.

-Prepare detail drawings for shop fabrications of alloy and structural steel.

-Prepare cutting nests for plate layout.

-Generate PO's and perform purchasing functions.

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings

- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings

- Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirements

- Coordinate with other drafters and team members to maintain consistency and accuracy in drawings

- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including material lists, cost estimates, and construction schedules

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in drafting or a related field preferred

- Proven experience as a drafter or similar role in the construction industry

- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools

- Knowledge of stainless steel and other alloy metals

- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
