Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in the logistics industry, situated in Collierville, Tennessee. Your main duties will encompass a range of accounting functions such as receivables, payables, payroll, property, general ledger, and financial statements. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Conduct detailed work assignments in various accounting areas under the guidance of a Senior Accountant or Controller. Manage receivables and payables effectively and in a timely manner. Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage property-related accounting tasks, including fixed asset accounting and variance analysis. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare financial statements, providing detailed reports and insights. Conduct variance analysis to understand financial performance and identify any anomalies. Utilize accounting templates for efficient reporting and record keeping. Assist in replacement and restructuring of financial data when necessary. Perform other accounting functions as required, adhering to best practices and company policies. Requirements Possess proficiency in Reporting and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in handling Payroll and General Ledger Knowledge of Financial Statement preparation and analysis Familiarity with Property management in a logistics context Expertise in Variance Analysis Ability to work with Templates and manage Replacement processes Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting Comprehensive understanding and management of Accounting Functions Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and accounting software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
