Description We are in search of a Guest Services Representative to join our team in MEMPHIS, Tennessee. This role involves ensuring a memorable visitor experience at a well-known museum. The position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, providing an excellent chance to gain expertise in the museum industry.Responsibilities: Warmly welcome guests at the entrance and box office, providing a positive first impression of the museum. Become an expert on the museum's permanent and rotating exhibits to provide detailed explanations to guests. Manage assigned areas within the museum exhibit halls to ensure smooth operations. Engage with guests by sharing talking points about the museum and the Civil Rights era. Be stationed at various points in the museum, including the entrance, hallways, and theater, to assist and direct guests. Answer guests' questions and direct the flow of traffic to ensure a pleasant and orderly museum experience. Introduce and conclude the theater video presentations, providing context and additional information to enhance guests' understanding. Utilize your skills in customer service and retail to achieve organizational sales and service goals. Assist in maintaining the store inventory in the museum's retail stores. Follow rotating work schedules, including weekends, to ensure adequate staffing during museum operating hours. Requirements Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest service or customer service role Proven ability in Retail Sales and Retail Stores operations Demonstrated skills in assisting and directing guests in a professional manner Familiarity with store inventory management is essential Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively and courteously Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, managing multiple tasks concurrently Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent education level is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
