Description We are offering a valuable opportunity for an HR Generalist in the retail sector, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37416, United States. In this role, you will manage a variety of HR activities and initiatives for a busy distribution warehouse, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and HR administration. Responsibilities: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to conducting interviews and hiring for warehouse positions Coordinate with team leaders to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive job descriptions Manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries, and address and resolve issues promptly Conduct investigations into employee complaints or incidents as required Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems Support managers in conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback Identify training and development needs to improve employee performance and coordinate training programs for warehouse staff Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system and prepare reports as required by management Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration, and manage employee attendance and leave records. Skills: Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now Knowledge of Benefit Functions Strong understanding of Compliance procedures Ability to manage Employee Relations effectively. Requirements Minimum of three years of experience in the role of HR Generalist within the Retail industry Proficient in utilizing ADP Workforce Now for various HR tasks and processes Demonstrated capabilities in managing benefit functions including health, life, disability insurance, and retirement plans Proven proficiency in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Strong experience and skills in managing employee relations and addressing employee concerns and issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in handling confidential information Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) would be a plus.
