Job Title: In-Home Caregiver for Elderly Grandparents

Location: Cookeville, TN (close to Baxter)

Schedule: Full or part time – day and night shifts available.

Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to assist with the care of our two grandparents in our home. The ideal candidate will be patient, trustworthy, and experienced in working with seniors, providing daily support to ensure comfort, safety, and quality of life.

About the patients:

- Male and female – both in their late 80s. They’re both very kind.

- Female has earlier stage dementia. She’s generally very kind, but struggles to find the bathroom so someone needs to keep an eye on her and guide her to the restroom when needed.

- Male is mentally all there, but losing his strength so he needs assistance getting up and down and moving around the house.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

- Provide mobility support and light physical exercise (e.g., walking or stretching).

- Help with meal preparation and encourage regular eating habits.

- Administer medication reminders as needed.

- Offer companionship—engaging in conversation, games, or light activities.

- Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment (e.g., tidying up common areas).

- Monitor for changes in health, comfort, or behavior and communicate updates to the family.

Requirements:

- Prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, or similar role preferred.

- CPR certified

- Ability to lift/support adults safely when needed.

- Strong communication skills and a kind, patient demeanor.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to home in Cookeville (towards Baxter)

- References from previous caregiving roles.

- Authorization to work in the U.S. and a clear background check.
