Most work 9-5 Monday – Friday, that could change (ex. could start earlier/leave earlier) but he is flexible with the times.Is there additional variable compensation?15% VIP annual bonus Job description Position Summary The Lead Cloud Data Engineer will have the chance to own strategic data engineer, database design and operational decisions. Leads the designing, coding, and testing of Data Engineering pipelines for global teams. Coordinates the creation and documentation of ETL pipelines/testing to meet customer needs for reporting, BI solutions, Data Science.What is exciting about this opportunity? Please include team and company culture.Maintains, tunes, and adapts data pipelines to keep them performing to specifications. Work closely with the cloud engineering, architecture, software engineering, analytics, and product teams to design database applications, operational models and solutions including interfaces, data transfer mechanisms and data partitions, optimizations to enable efficient access and automated operations of cloud native databases. Creates designs for a highly secure, fault tolerant architecture and integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure to refine performance/functionality.• Leads large projects or processes of complex scope, with limited oversight from manager• Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals• Assists in the development of operational plan and implements for areas of assigned responsibilities• Identifies continuous improvement/automation activities and makes frequent recommendations based on detailed analyses and applying results to drive improvements• Adapts precedent and may holistically change standard operating procedures to develop new solutions• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders• Other duties as assigned
