Content Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

What you will be doing:

The Content Manager will help develop and execute various strategies for the Customer Solutions organization. This person will assist in the development of content strategy and management of a writing team, in alignment with Asurion’s brand, tone and voice. The Content team creates and develops internal content that frontline Experts use to solve problems during phone/chat support sessions. This role is critical in developing content strategy and managing a team of writers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage, lead and develop a team of writers
  • Ability to communicate clearly to team and stakeholders
  • Provide coaching and lead through empowerment
  • Develop and proofread content, talking points and articles based on best practices
  • Continually innovate through new tactics, tools, and processes
  • Measure success metrics, analyzing open rates and other engagement indicators
  • Ensure the vision, look, and feel of Asurion is maintained in all written and visual materials
  • Successfully manage multiple projects while keeping awareness and alignment with cross-functional processes and procedures
  • Oversee the content intake for projects and workflow, and regularly communicate progress on projects to team and leadership
  • Brainstorm new content ideas and strategize with leadership
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, make independent decisions, set priorities, and preserve confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material
  • Work cross functionally with business leaders and partners to ensure stakeholder alignment

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree requiredin Communications, Journalism, English, or any applicable writing discipline is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience writing or editing content
  • Experience with people leadership/management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be driven, detail-oriented and collaborative
  • Must be a strategic thinker who proactively generates new ideas and takes ownership to execute them
  • Strong communication, writing and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to influence others by demonstrating a high degree of collaboration with peers and key stakeholders at all levels
  • Capable of working in an autonomous, fast-paced environment with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Familiaritywith grammar conventions and Chicago Style
  • Familiarity with WordPress and SEO a plus
  • Flexible and adaptive
  • Creative and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Quick learner with a solid grasp of technical concepts
  • Team player, works well with people and open to feedback

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this role, is $76,400 + potential for bonuses.
