We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition SummaryManager DevOps will provide leadership in building and supporting HCA Healthcare’s Enterprise DevOps initiatives. Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering enterprise standards and governance for DevOps practice for HCA. This role will be responsible for leading and enabling DevOps tooling and adoption for the enterprise. Key responsibilities of the role include directing teams in defining, building, automating, and implementing software engineering best practices, governance, controls and helping teams in remediation.The DevOps Manager will work with the other leaders across the organization including Software Engineering managers, SSI leadership and Internal Audit in designing security best practices, governance documentation and automated CI/CD security templates. The role will work within the Enterprise Platform engineering team to provide a DevOps standard pipeline, allowing code to be tested and validated for quality and security utilizing industry standards for automated deployment.Major Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Direct and manage a team of DevOps engineers in designing and building our DevOps practice. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment and ensure alignment with project goals. Design, build and implement secure automation solutions for production environments Platform Development: Enhance the DevOps practice to improve developer experiences for software and data engineers. This includes managing GitHub workflows and integrating advanced tools and technologies. Cross-Disciplinary Knowledge: While primarily focused on DevOps, this role also requires knowledge in related disciplines such as Platform engineering, Cloud Engineering and Software Security. Experience in Platform Development: Candidates should have prior experience working with platform teams, especially in the DevOps and Cloud space. Collaboration: Liaise with specialists in DevOps,MLOps, Software Security, Audit, data, and other domains. Incorporate the latest advancements from these fields into the DevOps platform. Experience: Must have 12+ years’ experience in leading and deploying technically complex infrastructure solutions across various platforms in development, QA, and production environments. Cloud Platform Expertise: Proficiency in cloud platforms is essential. Experience in expanding platforms to on-premises and edge deployment. Expertise with IaC and supporting enterprise scale is a plus. Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with peer cloud teams, data scientists, and product managers to align platform development with organizational objectives. DevOps Expertise: Solid understanding of DevOps principles and technologies and experience managing and supporting large scale implementation. Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and scripting for automation. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Tooling: Experience with designing and managing DevOps pipelines using GitHub and ADO is preferredEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors: Minimum of 12+ years’ experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing teams. Proven experience in leading DevOps teams and mentoring junior engineers Strong background with deploying workloads to one of the Cloud Azure or GCP.
