Description We are seeking a Membership Accounting Specialist to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is central to our development team’s operations, requiring the incumbent to manage and update donor records, support various fundraising initiatives, and ensure the smooth operation of our development activities. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Maintain and update donor records in the CRM software Process all forms of funds into the CRM, including cash, checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and other electronic payment forms Generate accurate and timely reports of all contribution activity as needed Keep records of patron activity, including meetings, volunteer activity, concert attendance, ticket purchases, and event attendance up-to-date Produce and distribute timely acknowledgements of contributions and commitments Assist in maintaining must be eligible to work in the U.S. records and providing benefits to sponsors and other donating entities Support the execution of annual fund campaigns by producing lead files, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with vendors, and performing other required tasks to meet budgeted goals Maintain the development calendar, including grant application deadlines, event dates, donor birthdays, and anniversaries Assist in prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship activities by researching prospective donors, providing timely and accurate reporting on key prospect activity, and creating and distributing gift and must be eligible to work in the U.S. invoices Provide administrative support for events and auxiliary support groups Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development. Skills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Billing Functions Experience with Check Processing, Wire Transfer, and PayPal.
